Our Story
Born out of frustration with a broken system.
Deed Dive began in 2019 when our co-founder Arjun Hegde — a property lawyer in Bengaluru — watched a young couple lose their life savings because of a forged encumbrance certificate on a property they had trusted completely.
The problem wasn't that they were careless. The problem was that the information they needed was buried in government offices, written in legal language, and impossible to verify without specialist help.
We built Deed Dive to change that. To surface the documents that matter, explain them in plain language, connect buyers with trusted agents, and give every stakeholder in a property transaction the information they deserve — without having to hire a lawyer just to read it.
Today we operate across 8 cities in Karnataka, serve over 12,000 active listings, and have helped facilitate more than ₹2,400 crore in property transactions. But the mission is still the same as day one: make real estate readable.
2019
Deed Dive founded in Bengaluru with a focus on legal document transparency.
2020
Launched the first RERA compliance checker for Karnataka property listings.
2021
Reached 500 verified listings and onboarded 200+ certified agents.
2022
Introduced the Agent & Broker Training Program — first batch of 30 agents certified.
2023
Expanded to 8 cities including Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, and Belagavi.
